In celebration of Taverham Hall School’s 90th Jubilee the school has lined up a number of exciting events to which we would like to draw your attention.
On Saturday 5th May we will be hosting the school’s 90th Jubilee Ball “The Roaring Twenties” which we anticipate to be a sell out. We are delighted that the Ball Committee have secured “The world’s best live travelling band” The Gypsy Queens, who have made their international reputation being the private entertainment band to star studded audiences such as H.R.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin (Coldplay), Stella McCartney as well as the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy. The band work closely with their sponsor Chopard.

In addition, vintage planes will provide a Flypast (weather permitting!) and full details about what you can expect at our very special ball will be circulated soon.

In addition, the school has invited all primary school children in Norfolk aged 7- 13 to enter Taverham Hall’s Art and Creative Writing Competition which will be examined by an impressive panel of judges including Stephen Fry, Kirsty Riddiford, David Miller, Brian Lewis, Lucy Loveheart and Peter Kavanagh. The deadline for entries is 1st June – please click here to view full details. The presentation of the chosen winners will take place on Tuesday 19th June to coincide with the school’s official 90th Jubilee Celebrations Day – all pupils will be involved and each year group from Nursery to Year 8 will have prepared a presentation of each decade within the school’s history to which all parents will be warmly invited.
Local artist, Brian Lewis, has completed his wonderful painting of Taverham Hall School which he kindly agreed to undertake as part of the school’s 90th Jubilee celebrations:

of which Taverham Hall School is now one. Brian attended art colleges in Epson, Guildford and Kingston and “The Royal Academy of Schools” in London. For any further details about Brian’s latest painting of the school please contact Lisa Green on ot@taverhamhall.co.uk
Finally, on Speech Day on Friday 8th July we are extremely honoured to welcome former pupil, Martin Bell OBE and UNICEF Ambassador, as our guest speaker and once again we urge all parents to keep this and the above dates free in their diaries to join in this year’s 90th Jubilee Celebrations.
Our 90th jubilee is clearly a very special time for Taverham Hall School and we would be delighted to see as many of our current parents, OTs, friends and their families at the above events.
